Fra James Godfrey har jeg modtaget følgende nyhedsbrev: Minutes of WJCB Annual Council Meeting & Bureau Meeting 2009
The minutes of the meetings held in Syracuse, New York, are now available and posted on the web site, please have a look to see what's happening on the world scene. http://www.worldjerseycattle.com/
Soon to be published are the full details of the Annual Meetings 2010 in Albania. The program will run from Sunday 30th May to Wednesday 9th June commencing in Tirana and travelling through the country visiting herds, villages and historical sights. The Albanian association, ALDA Jersey, will be arranging the countries first Jersey show and the program will provide many opportunities to get to know this fascinating country. The party will cross the border into Greece, visiting a new dairy factory and surrounding herds specialising in Jersey milk, and arrive in Athens. Albania has some 16,000 pure bred Jerseys with a further 100,000 cross breds, although the herds are very small by international standards, we believe that the Bureau meetings will support the already infectious enthusiasm for the breed in Albania.
Plans are also being prepared for an 'add on' tour to Jersey Island to coincide with the RJA&HS Spring Cattle Show on June 12th & 13th and the WJCB 2nd World Jersey Cheese Awards which will also be held at this time.
Also, a big thank you to everybody at the American Jersey Cattle Association and Harvest Travel for ensuring that the WJCB delegates had such an enjoyable and informative Annual Meetings this year in the USA.
